The Commissioner today issued Bulletin 4 of 2012 advising that the proposed new Prison Officer (NTPS) 2011 – 2014 Enterprise Agreement has been endorsed by employees, explaining the process for formal approval by Fair Work Australia, and indicating anticipated timeframes for payments to be made under the new agreement.

The Commissioner for Public Employment has issued Bulletin 13/2011 to advise that the new Northern Territory Public Sector Nurses and Midwives’ 2011-2014 Enterprise Agreement (the Agreement) has been approved by Fair Work Australia on 11 November 2011. This means the agreement will come into effect on 18 November 2011.

NT Fire and Rescue Service
The Commissioner for Public Employment has released Bulletin 11/2011 to advise employees that “in-principle agreement” has been reached with United Voice for a new Fire and Rescue Service Enterprise Agreement. This follows the Union reporting on members’ acceptance of the Commissioner's offer.

The purpose of Bulletin 3/2011 is to outline a summary of the terms of the offer which were made on 24 May 2011 for a new Prison Officer enterprise agreement.

The purpose of this Bulletin is to advise employees of an approved offer made to the union on 13 May 2011.

The Commissioner for Public Employment has issued Bulletin 4/2011 to advise employees that he has made an application to Fair Work Australia for approval of the 2010 – 2013 Power and Water Enterprise Agreement Working Together to Meet the Challenge.

Prison Officers
This Bulletin is to advise that bargaining has now commenced. Representatives from United Voice (the Union) and my Office met twice in April, and further weekly meetings have been scheduled over the coming months.

NT Fire and Rescue Service
The purpose of this Bulletin is to update employees on the status of negotiations. On 15 April 2011 an improved offer was presented to the union and employees for their consideration.

The employee ballot for the 2010-2013 Power and Water Enterprise Agreement has concluded with a valid majority of employees voting in favour of approving the agreement.  The Commissioner for Public Employment has issued a new Bulletin advising employees of the result.

The Commissioner for Public Employment has released Bulletin 1/2011 to provide an update on NT Fire and Rescue Service bargaining. The current Prison Officer (NTPS) 2008 – 2011 Union Collective Agreement is due to expire on 9 August 2011.

Power and Water
The proposed new enterprise agreement for the Power and Water Corporation has been finalised and the ballot for employees to vote on the agreement will commence from 28 March 2011.  The Commissioner for Public Employment has issued Bulletin 2/2011 which contains links to the proposed agreement and other relevant documents as well as information on the voting process.  All employees are encouraged to read this information and participate in the ballot process.

The Commissioner for Public Employment has issued a Bulletin advising employees that they will be asked to vote on the proposed new Power and Water Enterprise Agreement.  The ballot period opens on Monday 28 March 2011.

The Commissioner has released Bulletin 7 of 2011 to update employees on the status of negotiations following a meeting with the LHMU on 21 February 2011.

The Commissioner has released Bulletin 1 of 2011 advising that negotiations for a new Police Consent Agreement have commenced.  The 2008 Consent Agreement is due to expire on 29 June 2011.

The Commissioner for Public Employment has issued a Bulletin to advise that agreement has been reached wiith the with Australian Salaried Medical Officers Federation on the terms of a new medical officers’ agreement.

The Commissioner for Public Employment and the Australian Salaried Medical Officers’ Federation (ASMOF) have reached agreement on the terms of a new enterprise agreement for medical officers in the NT.  Please read the Commissioner’s Bulletin for more information on the terms of the new agreement.  The ballot for the new agreement will be conducted in January 2011 and more information about this process will be distributed to relevant staff in the coming weeks.
